Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.
I get asked about the tools and gear I use to build software, stay productive, and keep my day-to-day work moving. Here is the current setup I rely on.
Workstation
HP EliteBook 660 G11
My everyday machine for development, writing, and keeping multiple projects open without getting in the way.
HP 24f 1080p IPS Monitor
The display I use for day-to-day work. It is lightweight, sharp enough for long coding sessions, and gives me comfortable extra space for code, terminals, documentation, and browser previews.
Simple chair
Nothing fancy here. Just a straightforward chair that gets the job done for focused work sessions.
Development tools
Visual Studio Code
My main editor for frontend and full-stack work. The TypeScript, Git, formatting, and extension ecosystem make it easy to stay in flow.
Zsh (Z Shell)
My terminal shell for running projects, moving around repos, and keeping common commands close at hand. I use Oh My Zsh as the framework for customizing it.
DBeaver
A reliable database client for inspecting schemas, writing queries, and checking data while building product features.
GitHub
Where I keep projects, review code, collaborate with teams, and manage the everyday version control flow around pull requests and releases.
Ubuntu
My preferred Linux environment for development. It keeps the local setup close to production and works well with modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and backend tooling.
Design
Figma
I use Figma for UI design, reviewing product flows, and translating interface ideas into something easier to build and discuss.
Miro
Helpful for mapping product flows, architecture notes, and early collaboration when an idea needs to be seen before it becomes a ticket or a screen.
Productivity
Focus
A simple way to block distractions when I need uninterrupted time to write, code, or finish a feature.
Notion
My place for notes, planning, references, and collecting the context that tends to disappear if it only lives in chat.
Microsoft Teams
Useful for day-to-day collaboration, meetings, and keeping project conversations organized with the rest of the team.
Jira
I use Jira to track product work, break down implementation details, and keep delivery aligned with priorities.
